SANITARY HEATING
Job
Heating and sanitary fitters design heating and sanitary installations, taking into account the specific features of the building. They are familiar with the various heating technologies, such as gas and oil-fired boilers, heat pumps and solar thermal collectors. Given the many technical innovations, he/she must regularly update his/her knowledge.
Using plans and instructions, he/she prepares, connects to the various energy networks, fixes and installs all the components needed to set up a sanitary appliance, an individual controlled mechanical ventilation system (CMV), a central heating system or underfloor heating. He/she also troubleshoots existing installations.
You may work for an employer or be self-employed. They work alone or as part of a team, with fairly regular working hours except for repairs. The work is highly varied and requires good communication with other trades.

- CE6P, Certificat d’Etudes awarded at the end of the sixth year of vocational secondary education
- CQ, Certificat de Qualification awarded at the end of the sixth year
