The automotive maintenance mechanic is responsible for preparing new vehicles, cars or commercial vehicles for sale. He/she carries out the various routine maintenance operations. He/she detects breakdowns and carries out repairs. He/she will also prepare vehicles for the technical inspection.

He/she has a wide range of skills (mechanical, electrical, electronic, etc.) and is familiar with technical regulations. They make increasing use of IT tools. He/she is trained in new technologies.

Reporting to the company manager or team leader, they work regular hours, sometimes in uncomfortable positions.

Concerned about the quality of the service provided, he/she must be able to welcome customers and explain how the vehicle works and the tasks carried out or to be carried out.
